February , 2011 It has been a Great Week!!

Dad(Nick) Feeding Garrett a bottle for the first time(of many to come)!

Garret has been put into an open bed, remains off of the CPAP and is doing well with just supplemental oxygen, and is being fed a bottle twice a day.

Jan. 30, 2011 Another Milestone Reached

New Bed -

Garrett has been maintaining his body temperature well and has been moved to a new bed.

No More CPAP -

Today Garrett was taken off of his CPAP and only remains on supplemental oxygen via a nasal cannula! this is very exciting as this means his lungs are functioning well and getting the oxygen into his blood.

Jenni(Mom) gets to hold Garrett for the first time making this a more special day than it already was. Garrett cried when she put him back into his incubator. She had mixed feelings about that. Sad that he was upset, but also happy because he wanted her to hold him more. Nick also was there for this day, taking pictures just as any proud Father would.

8 Weeks Old

Garrett got his first binkie and seems to be enjoying it :-) He is having a great day and the Doctors are happy about all of his growth. 

New Year Update (1/3/11)

We made it to 3lbs 3.2 oz and 14 1/2 in long.
